Douglas Staples In-House Designer for MJ Olson Enterprises Before Doug joined our team here at MJ Olson Enterprises in 2002, he had already contributed a lifetime to the Architecture and Building community. Here is a time-line of education and gratifying experiences in which Doug has accomplished:

•Bachelor of Architecture: 1968, University of Oregon •Unthank Seder & Poticha: 1968- 1969 •Campbell, Yost & Grube: 1969-1971 •Self-employed:1971-1986 In which he designed and built all phases of residences O.T.A.K. 1985-1986 He was the job captain for multi family housing including design and drafting. •Self-employed: 1986-present Doug has designed over 2000 houses in the Portland area and some multi-family dwellings as well. He has built fourteen homes by himself including all phases of work except for the concrete. He is currently working for MJ Olson Enterprises doing all phases of design work, planning, estimating, and construction supervision. Doug designed the award-winning 2008 "Northwest Haven" Parade Home, which claimed four awards including "Best Architectural Design", the 2005 Parade Home "The Pendleton Cottage", the 2004 award-winning Parade Home "The Arawan" and has also received outstanding recognition for the design of "The Chinook", the 2003 Parade of Homes winner of seven awards including "Best Architectural Design" built by MJ Olson Enterprises.
